Stitchman Part2

Hot as hell, today...and I need to get out of my house. Cuz, I felt like a Chinese BBQ pork staying at home, so I decided to head to Starbucks and cool down a bit. Massive people over there, but it didn't bother me a bit when I'm 100% focused on working with Zbrush. I've spent a little more time on the Stitchman. I'm afraid it may slow down my Mac if i continue to add more Sub-D on the model. I starting to like it more and more whenever i get my hands on this program...

Go Zbrush and Stitchman model

New GoZ Feature Enables a Powerful Yet Simple Workflow Between modo® and ZBrush®

San Mateo, Calif. – July 22, 2009 – 3D artists everywhere are applauding the just-announced GoZ™ for modo feature from Pixologic, which improves the workflow between ZBrush, Pixologic’s premiere organic sculpting and texture tool, and modo, the 3D modeling, painting and rendering software from Luxology®. Luxology and Pixologic worked closely together to optimize the mesh geometry transfer between these two computer graphics applications to give users a more seamless and combined workflow.

That's nice to hear that both of these software is working together to help ease out end user's workflow. Can't wait to try that out...

Yesterday, I spent several of hours modeling this piece with Modo. It was one of my old concept sketch which I've made back in 2004, The Stitchman. With a single 6-sided cylinder shape, here's what I've created. I need to add the crown and piercing piece before I bring it into Zbrush.

My first Zbrush artwork

Last month, while I was at the Gnomon Workshop, I was inspired and motivated. Cool tips and tricks were demonstrated by artists who created some work for the new Star Trek movies, Transformers 1&2 and game stuffs. Most of them used Zbrush as part of their tool for their work flow. So I decided to try and use Zbrush. Man...I'm so in loved with it and addicted to it! I've spent almost all day today just messing with it. So, here's what I've created with a single sphere.
